Resistance
What can be said about resistance- it makes you strong
The obstacles; the struggle – tough to hold on
Every day presented as a gift
Life fleeting as the sand beneath me shifts
Like the current in the ocean- such a force
That struggle to stand still -staying the course
That resistance simply strengthens your frame
The one who holds that current; he calls me by name
He knows the to hold back, or when to push forward
I Trust that still small voice, leaning in and drawing forward
In order to hear that whisper I have to remain still
Quiet my mind, let go of my will
In this life there will is adversity;
Many struggles, “TRUST” I went to the university
What I know to be true, what I know for sure
That I don’t face it alone, in this I’m secure
Resistance has taught me, I don’t stand alone
For when I am still, he makes his presence known
He is developing my character, refining my faith
